Progress and Gear

We are at 4 bosses in MGV now, and it seems all OK. We wiped a lot on Garaj’al because of gear issues, but the other 3 bosses were easy as hell. I am getting some serious gear for my hunter, I’m server first at the moment (constantly competing with my hunter friend).

Leading raids in my new guild is kinda hard while I need to maintain the rotation and stand out of the fire, but it is somewhat bearable :)

I bought the Darkmoon Trinket today, and it is awesome, period. It is better than any trinket ingame until itemlevel 509. It’s ridiculous that they made a 476 trinket this OP.

Back from the break

As you may have seen, I was a bit slowpoke on the hunter changes. That’s because I took a break, under which I farmed some gold and did some 2v2 mostly. I had an average income of 10k /day, which is pretty neat. I used the JC shuffle method:

  • Prospect ore
  • Transmute Carnelians to Inferno Rubies
  • Make other gems into greens
  • Disenchant greens
  • Cut Rubies into Agility gems
  • Make enchants
  • Profit

On the PvE front the news are not so great. My guild is struggling with recruitment as the server is very bad at this aspect. Anyways, I got the 410 Crossbow to accompany the HC staff, which looks pretty neat even in the PvE or the meanwhile maxed out PvP gear.

And I simply can not wait for D3 and MoP. Must say though that I am much, much more interested in the new expansion than the Diablo sequel.

Hunter Weapon!

I managed to get some new gear for my character, namely HC shoulders, HC staff (Insane mastery, I tell you!), aaaaand… Gurthalak!

It would be kinda nice to Raptor Strike around with it as the proc has no ICD, but switching it around is too complicated, I believe. (Even with macros)

Oh. I almost forgot to mention that I laid my hands on the Deathwing drake, thanks to Kuratorn for that.

Progress update

We managed to kill Hagara on 25-man heroic mode finally. The fight was intense and awesome, and the kill try was perfect until 5%, when our tank died because of a taunting mistake (Focused assault). Nevertheless, we downed her, and we are realm first on 25-man progress. Hagara was world 590th, which is quite nice, if we take the many-many recent changes in the guild into account.

Also, she dropped some hunter loot (too much even, according to my fellow guildmates :D), so I am the best geared hunter on the realm again! (Last time it was T10, and before that it was T8)

Also, tomorrow I’m having my last exam, and some major stuff will be up here when I’m finished :)

No kill shot since our officers SLACK all the time uploading those, so here is my screenshot, taken at the moment of the kill/nerdscream/etc.:

4.3 on Wednesday

I am a bit nervous since I expected it to hit a week later. I do not think that I will finish leveling my final alts and achieve 10 lvl 85 characters. Also, I’ll need to farm honor and conquest for them, and I’ll need to farm gold.

New content contains many shiny loots, my favourites are the staff from Deathwing (which can make you twice as big as usual), and the bow, also from Deathwing. I can’t wait to get ’em! Also, dwarves might be happy with the gun dropping from the 5-man instance.

A new valor helmet is added to the collection as well, but it is special because it wears the name of Zeherah, the maker of Now his name will live on forever :).

What to do now?

Besides progressing, I mean… Yeah, we are still struggling with Rag25HC, but that is the case if you change half of the guild roster every week… I must mention about hunter applicants by now. I got used to being the only hunter in a guild for around 3 years now, but some months ago, hunters started to apply to my guild like hell. Around 20% of them were worthwhile and that made me thinking. It is a common stereotype that the hunter class has the most people who are mentally defocused (Oh boy, how nicely I said “retard”). And sadly, this stereotype seems to be based on reality. This may even enforce me to write a longer post about how they should apply to a guild or hell, even about what to do in a bossfight.

Jumping back to the original topic. What to do before the patch? Well, as I promised, I started leveling my alts now, I have 6 85s at the moment, I’m leveling my priest what’s currently 78. My warrior and mage is at 61/65. I just finished gearing up my rogue, and ganking is so much fun with it, just like old times at good old Freelancer in 2005 ^^.
Besides leveling (which I hate so much), I do oldschool instances for helping friends, and to get those missing items for my oldschool gear. As I wrote here already, I am a hardcore packrat. Still I miss a very few items, since I was unlucky back then, so I could not get the T2 shoulders, the T6 boots or the T4 shoulders.

Besides those, I am proud to say that I have the following sets on my hunter:

Full T1, 7/8 T2, some T3, 4/5 T4, Full T5, 7/8 T6, Full T7-T12, 7/8 D1, Full ZG set, Full Priest D1, Full S2

Also my rogue has 8/8 Bloodfang and 6/8 D2 and T1. Damn, they removed the D1 upgrade chain 1 day before I could complete the quest…
So this is what I’m doing at the moment… leveling and getting the gearz. I must get bigger backpacks though, my bank is already full of that stuff :).
