The amazing look of the subsectors in Inquisitor 40K

I just finished editing this short video, and the detail in the formations is amazing, our engine coder really did miracles with the thing. It is always so entertaining to work with such high quality raw materials (even if YouTube butchers it a lil’ bit after uploading).

Be sure to check out the devblog post on the topic! And just look at this thing:

The Caligari Sector in W40K: Inquisitor – Martyr

I just finished a new snippet of our upcoming game, Inquisitor – Martyr, and it looks pretty good ;)

More importantly however, this hopefully marks the beginning of a new video series, as this Dataslate contains a few in-office shots already:

(In all honesty, the music takes the cake in this one. Check out the composer.)

This was basically the test-run of a longer devdiary series, where people will talk about the game in detail, and the production quality will be pumped up a bit with some better equipment, namely a nicer tripod and a cam rail maybe. I’m excited to work on something that will have nice lighting, a makeup artist and all the usual stuff that goes into the production of a video like this. I’ll do the editing as per usual, and hopefully I’ll be able to shot a few scenes in there too :)

Check out the full devblog post about the video here.

What now?

With the quite somber tone of my previous post, the question about the future of this “blog” naturally came up to me for the 23rd time.

On this occassion, I thought that I’m gonna go easier on myself as not only have I laid my hands on a decent PC recently, but I also began/continued to play some cool games such as Overwatch, Diablo, DayZ, CS:GO, Dying Light, and the list goes on.

Basically, I’ll casually make some content of the stuff that I do not so casually.

Also, quite a lot of work is looking up for me, an upcoming devdiary series on our newest game W40K: Inquisitor – Martyr.

Also, I have reverted the header to the old one to honor the 10 years of WoW that maybe just came to an end. ;)

I feel good looking into the future, so, dear 15 visitors, get prepared for some content!

Deathtrap is on!

So, with Gamescom 2014 behind us, we finally announced our newest project, Deathtrap!

This will be a standalone Tower Defense game set in a whole new, gritty universe and we will try to make it as gory as possible. Yep, prepare for guts getting ripped out and all ;)

The video above is the first part of a miniseries used to promote the game, made with the game’s own engine – I have to admit, it looks pretty cool!

Check out our devblog and Deathtrap’s Facebook page for more updates.

I have already spent a couple hours playing the alpha, and it looks pretty rad, and what struck me even more, I have not encountered a single bug… yet!

The features of Van Helsing II

I have made another trailer for Van Helsing II where our amazing voice actor talks about the new features of the game. Trust me, there will be plenty!

I think that these features will really set the game apart from the general ARPGs, as I have never seen anything like Resistance Management in such a game before, for example.

And there will be truckloads of more features:

  • The Chimera, a pet that can not only be summoned in combat, but it resides in the Lair and you can send it on hunting missions where it gains XP and collect loot for you
  • Lots of cool tower defense maps (Don’t worry, you can skip ’em if you want to)
  • New journal with loads of lore and unique, beautiful artworks
  • Runecrafting, where you can “disenchant” (sorry for the WoW terminology… I mean dismantle) items and create/boost items
  • Artifact forging
  • Enchanting, where you can name your items, transmorph your items, and reroll certain enchants among other things
  • Alchemy
  • You can get trophies and put them on a trophy desk to gain cool bonuses

So, I’m pretty excited for the release on May 22, although the release rush on the forums and what not is not something we want to approach sooner ;) But well, it’s a part of the job!
